The IRS has seen its third leadership change since tax week began and the fifth change since Donald Trump took office.Deputy Treasury Secretary Michael Faulkender has been appointed as the acting commissioner of the IRS, replacing Gary Shapley.Faulkender is the current leader while awaiting Senate approval for the nomination of former Republican Rep. Billy Long for the role.The IRS is undergoing staff cuts, including a 75% reduction in the Office of Civil Rights and Compliance.
