Paramount Pictures announced the second delay for The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender movie, with a new release date of October 9, 2026.
No reason was provided for the delay, but the cast and crew remain the same, including Dave Bautista, Steven Yuen, and Eric Nam, with Lauren Montgomery and William Mata as co-directors.
The delay may work in the movie's favor as it now has a fall release date, taking the spot previously held by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2 sequel, which got pushed to September 17, 2027.
For fans eager for Avatar content, Netflix renewed its live-action version of Avatar: The Last Airbender for two more seasons, and a new avatar is expected to debut in 2027 in a series titled Avatar: Seven Havens.
