Apple's successor to the M4 chip, the M5, is set to be a significant change in terms of technical details.The M5 chips will be manufactured on TSMC's N3P node, with three generations in a row using the 3nm node.The M5 Pro, Max, and Ultra will feature 'server-grade' 2.5D packaging, enabling separate CPU and GPU designs and better AI inferencing capabilities.The M5 chips are expected to begin mass production in the first half of 2025, followed by M5 Pro/Max in the second half, and M5 Ultra in 2026.
