The Australian Automobile Association (AAA) has revealed the 25 electorates with the highest road tolls in Australia.
All 25 electorates on the list surpass the national median road toll of six motorists per year, with Lingiari in the Northern Territory topping the list with 46 road fatalities in 2024.
The AAA is calling for better transparency for crash data and using road safety data to inform road funding in order to reduce the nation's road toll.
Australia's federal, state, and territory governments agreed to the 10-year National Road Safety Strategy in 2021, but the country is currently not on track to meet any of the set targets.
