The Pentagon has released a new counter-drone strategy to address the growing threat that drones pose to US forces.
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin stated that drones are changing the battlefield and endangering US installations and troops.
The strategy includes steps such as understanding the threat, degrading threat networks, improving defenses, investing in counter-drone systems, and emphasizing drone defense in future force development.
Existing initiatives, such as the Joint Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Office and the Replicator 2 project, will contribute to the implementation of the strategy.
