The SAG-AFTRA video game voice actors' strike, ongoing since July 2024, has officially ended with the approval of the 2025 Interactive Media Agreement by guild members.
95.04% of SAG-AFTRA members voted in favor of the updated agreement, leading to a 15.17% increase in compensation for video game performers immediately, followed by additional 3% increases annually from 2025 to 2027.
The agreement also includes boosted health and retirement benefits, with the AFTRA Retirement Fund seeing increases, and the implementation of AI protections for performers in the gaming industry.
The new contract signifies a victory for SAG-AFTRA, with video game companies acknowledging historic wage increases, industry-leading AI protections, and enhanced health and safety measures for performers.
