The Stop Killing Games campaign gains the support of Nicolae Ștefănuță, Vice President of the European Parliament.
The campaign aims to challenge the legality of publishers destroying video games after they have been sold, garnering over 1.35 million signatures on the petition.
Despite gaining momentum, the Video Games Europe organization defended industry practices involved in discontinuing online services, citing various reasons for such decisions.
The support from Nicolae Ștefănuță and the significant number of signatures obtained have pushed the campaign to be considered for further action within the EU and UK governments.
