The character of Sylvia Trench, the very first 'Bond Girl' from the James Bond movies, made a cameo appearance in the latest episode of Doctor Who.
In the Christmas Day special episode, the Doctor finds himself in a time travel hotel, where he encounters Sylvia Trench writing a letter on the Orient Express in the 1960s.
The joke in the episode is that Sylvia Trench, who was previously associated with James Bond, is now writing a love letter to a woman, referencing the LGBTQ representation in Bond novels.
The episode was written by Steven Moffat, who is known for incorporating Bond references in his work, and was having fun with this Easter egg.
