The videogame voice actors' strike, which began a year ago, officially ends as performers ratify the new Interactive Media Agreement between SAG-AFTRA and publishers.
Over 95% of SAG-AFTRA's voting members approved the agreement which includes significant concessions in payment and performer safety guardrails regarding AI protections.
The new agreement features consent and disclosure requirements for AI digital replica use, allowing performers to suspend consent for generating new AI material during a strike.
While the AI protections may have some limitations, the majority of SAG-AFTRA members were satisfied with the agreement, bringing an end to this battle between artists and AI.
