Apple's plans to release a more affordable version of their Vision Pro mixed reality headset have been delayed beyond 2027, according to renowned supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
The delayed release is attributed to a lack of successful use cases and concerns about the price competitiveness of the affordable variant compared to the competition.
Kuo also mentions the possibility of Apple introducing an updated Vision Pro model with the next-gen M5 silicon.
Gaming remains a significant driver in the XR wearables industry, with more affordable mainstream products like Meta Quest and Samsung's smart glasses gaining popularity.
