These new robot lawn mowers use self-driving car tech to navigate

  • Eufy has launched its first lawnbots, the Eufy E15 and E18, which are visual full self-driving bots using cameras and AI algorithms to navigate without the need for boundary wires or RTK receivers.
  • The Eufy E15 and E18 are V-FSD (visual full self-driving) robot lawn mowers that can map the area, identify lawn edges, paths, and avoid obstacles accurately. They offer features like adding no-go zones via the app and mapping multiple lawn zones.
  • These models promise an effortless setup process by connecting to Wi-Fi, auto-mapping the area, and providing reliable object avoidance. They are designed to cut in uniform lines with adjustable cutting heights and a 'Ride On Edge' feature for perimeter trimming.
  • The Eufy E15 is available in the US and UK, suitable for yards up to 0.2 acres, while the E18 (US-only) is designed for larger spaces up to 0.3 acres. Additionally, they come with a GPS+4G anti-theft system and remote visual camera viewing option.
