The latest CPUs from Intel and AMD are not eliciting excitement from gamers.Sales data regarding the AMD Ryzen 9000 series has been slow and there is very little difference between the Zen 4 and Zen 5 processors.Gains have been seen in productivity and single-core tasks, however, in most gaming situations, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D still outperformed the 9700X.The value for money may also not be there for Intel Arrow Lake as it is hard to justify spending an extra $250.The Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor from AMD still offers hope to gamers and is eagerly awaited.The 50-series Nvidia’s RTX and AMD’s RDNA 4 may offer greater console performance when they launch in 2025.There seems little point in upgrading from Zen 4 CPUs currently.Leaks suggest Arrow Lake will not outstrip the value performance of the Ryzen 7 7800X3D.The new generation of CPUs is not enough to tempt gamers to upgrade.Zen 5 may be disappointing for gamers and as a result, sales have been slow.
