The Vatican Bank has denied any connection to a fake cryptocurrency project called Vatican Chamber Token (VCT) claiming ties to it.
The fake token was promoted on an online phishing scam website, using the name 'Vatican Chamber of Trade' and making false promises of exclusive membership privileges and a presale of fake tokens.
The eligibility criteria for the fake project included financial requirements and ethical alignment, with promises of access to private investor introductions and custodial holding.
The VCT token was priced at 25 euros each, with promised token supply, allocation details, and a 'buy token' button that redirected users suspiciously to a Coinbase wallet page.
