Tipper lorries, designed to transport materials, have been among the highest number of heavy vehicles seized by JPJ in enforcement operations since 2022.
Out of 3,061 lorries subject to action, 602 were tipper units with the highest seizures in 2023.
In the current year, 365 lorries were seized from January to April, with 59 being tipper units, for various road offences like carrying excessive loads and lacking required inspections.
JPJ has seized tipper lorries for operating without road tax and insurance coverage, stressing the seriousness of the issue for public safety.
