Tomb Raider and Perfect Dark devs Crystal Dynamics cut staff, promising that current projects are unaffected

  • The layoffs do not affect the company's current project plans or collaborations, which include a new Tomb Raider game, Tomb Raider and Legacy Of Kain remasters, and a Perfect Dark reboot in collaboration with The Initiative.
  • One of the affected employees is Mark Vernon, a senior combat designer.
  • Crystal Dynamics' acquisition by Embracer has resulted in the Tomb Raider license falling under a separate corporate spin-off entity called Middle-earth Enterprises.
