The Toronto Public Space Committee has launched the TO the Loo! Toronto Toilet Design Competition to address the lack of public washrooms in the city.
The competition seeks designs that prioritize spatial justice, accessibility, sustainability, and cultural inclusion.
Participants will design a network of public washrooms to be installed in various areas of the city, including a single-user toilet and a multi-user sanitation hub washroom.
The top three winners will receive cash prizes and have their designs featured in Spacing Magazine and a public exhibition in Toronto.
