DIFF Coffee Roasters, located in Phitsanulok, Thailand, is a cafe designed by ASWA (Architectural Studio of Work - Aholic). It consists of two cubic volumes connected by a triangular bridge and incorporates an existing large tree.
The design features geometric volumes and voids, with a material palette of smooth concrete, wood, and glass, creating a minimalist and balanced composition.
The larger gray volume has triangular openings that introduce shifting patterns of light, while the smaller black cube houses the bar and has square openings and distinct voids.
The triangular bridge connects the two structures and enhances circulation between spaces, creating a setting that encourages interaction and relaxation.
