US President-elect Donald Trump has appointed Sriram Krishnan, an Indian-American former venture capitalist, as the senior policy advisor for artificial intelligence at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.
Krishnan will help shape AI policy across government and work with the President's council of advisors on science and technology.
He has prior experience in consumer AI and crypto investments and has worked with companies like Twitter, Meta, and Snap.
Krishnan, along with David Sacks, will work closely with Elon Musk in the Trump administration for AI and government efficiency.
