US president Donald Trump has warned Apple of a 25% tariff on iPhones made in India and sold in the US.
Trump stated that Apple must manufacture and sell iPhones in the US or face the tariff, continuing his stance against manufacturing in India.
Recently, Trump told Apple CEO Tim Cook to stop manufacturing in India, emphasizing that India should be self-reliant.
Apple has been shifting production to India to diversify its supply chain, reduce reliance on China, and leverage India's production linked incentive (PLI) scheme amid US-China tensions.
