The White House's 2026 fiscal year budget proposal aims to eliminate the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) while transferring some of its functions to other agencies.
President Trump's executive order rescinded a 1965 order prohibiting federal contractors from discriminating, affecting OFCCP's enforcement authority.
Roles of OFCCP related to military veterans and people with disabilities would be taken over by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
The proposal also includes plans to cut DOL's Job Corps program, Women's Bureau, Community Service Employment for Older Americans program, and relocate the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
