The Trump Administration has pulled its nomination of Elon Musk ally Jared Isaacman to become the new NASA Administrator, just a day after Elon Musk left his White House position.
Trump decided to withdraw Isaacman's nomination upon learning about his donations to prominent Democrats like Senator Mark Kelly, as reported by The New York Times.
With Isaacman no longer in consideration, the White House also proposed cutting NASA's budget by nearly one-quarter in 2026, causing concern within the space exploration community.
A replacement for the NASA Administrator position, which aligns with President Trump's agenda, is expected to be announced directly by the President soon, as per White House spokesperson Liz Huston.
