Elon Musk's Twitter is facing a new lawsuit that accuses the social media giant of illegally firing contract workers without prior notice.
The lawsuit claims that Twitter fired several workers without giving a 60-day notice in advance which is mandatory by US and California law.
The plaintiffs' attorney, Shannon Liss-Riordan, who also represents workers who accused Twitter of similar legal violations, plans to show Elon Musk that not meeting his responsibilities can be more costly.
The layoffs were carried out after Elon Musk took over Twitter last year, and he has been criticized for avoiding legal obligations by not giving proper notice to terminated employees.
