UAV Navigation–Grupo Oesía has been selected as a core technology provider for the VANTAGE project, supported by the European Defence Fund (EDF), to develop advanced tactical VTOL unmanned aerial vehicles for military missions.
The VANTAGE project, led by Latvian telecommunications provider LMT, aims to create a modular VTOL platform for intelligence gathering, surveillance, reconnaissance, and kinetic strikes in complex battlefield environments.
UAV Navigation–Grupo Oesía will provide advanced guidance, navigation, and control systems for the drones to ensure reliable performance even in GPS-denied environments, crucial for modern combat zones.
The company's technology allows the drones to operate autonomously and return safely without communication links, contributing to enhanced European security and unmanned aerial system capabilities.
The VTOL platform will feature UAV Navigation's algorithms for autonomous flight functions, including sense-and-avoid systems, dynamic flight replanning, and swarm capabilities, supporting complex tactical operations with safety standards.
The consortium for the VANTAGE project includes partners like C&V Defence, CAVOK UAS, Centro de Observación y Teledetección Espacial SAU, Vegvisir, INCAS București, and M3 Systems Belgium, aiming to improve Europe's strategic autonomy and defense edge.
UAV Navigation–Grupo Oesía, part of Grupo Oesía, specializes in high-precision GNC systems for UAVs and has been involved in major European defense programs, contributing to Europe's future defense capabilities through projects like Eurofighter EF-2000 and Eurodrone.
