Unilever's spun-off ice cream division, The Magnum Ice Cream Company, has entered a memorandum of understanding with the Maharashtra government to establish a Global Capability Center in Pune.
The investment is worth Rs 900 crore, and it is expected to create over 1,000 jobs.
The announcement was made at the India Global Forum event in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and other officials.
The ice cream division, which includes brands like Kwality Walls, Magnum, and Cornetto, had recently undergone a demerger from the parent company and aims to strengthen its position in the Indian market.
