The Florida State University student accused of a mass shooting on campus has ties to law enforcement.
Phoenix Ikner, the accused, is reported to be the son of a local sheriff's deputy and had trained with law enforcement and served on a sheriff's advisory council.
Ikner was arrested with a sheriff deputy's service weapon and had access to weapons through his connections.
While some community members are shocked by Ikner's actions, others point out red flags in his behavior and comments.
