UPI transactions saw a marginal dip to 18.40 Bn in June from the previous month's all-time high of 18.68 Bn, marking a 32% increase year-on-year.
Transactions count in June was 2.9% higher compared to April, with INR 24.04 Lakh Cr worth transactions, a 4.4% decline from the previous month.
Average daily transaction count increased to 613 Mn in June from 602 Mn in May, with an average daily transaction value of INR 80,131 Cr.
India leads in digital payments with over 35 Cr UPI users, accounting for 48.5% of all real-time digital payments globally. NPCI introduced new mandates to reduce response time for UPI payments.
