US business leaders are donating large sums to Donald Trump's second inaugural fund, expected to exceed the record-setting $107m raised in 2017.
These donations, not restricted by campaign finance laws, aim to gain favor with the incoming administration following Trump's re-election.
Notable donations include $1m each from Amazon's Jeff Bezos, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, and Facebook's Meta.
Reports suggest that pledged contributions have already surpassed a $150m fundraising goal, indicating that Trump's second inauguration will break previous records.
