Republican Senator Cynthia Lummis plans to have lawmakers pass a bill to build a strategic Bitcoin reserve.Lummis introduced the Bitcoin Act in July, proposing the US government buy 1 million BTC and hold it for at least 20 years.With Republicans expected to have a majority in the US Senate, Lummis and her colleagues may have the votes needed to carry out the plan.This idea was originally suggested by then-presidential candidate Donald Trump, who proposed the US government not sell any seized Bitcoin.
