Vespa introduces the new “Officina 8” Special Edition, honoring its engineering roots from the post-war Experimental Department at the Piaggio plant in Pontedera, Italy.
Officina 8 was known as the workshop where innovative ideas were brought to life, leading to the design and prototyping of the first Vespa scooters for mass production and racing.
Staff at Officina 8 were distinguished by a blue and brass “Piaggio 8” pin, signifying their work in the secret and prestigious department.
The Officina 8 designation now applies to special Vespa models, including the Primavera and GTv 310, featuring a unique Blu Officina 8 color scheme.
The Vespa Officina 8 scooters sport a matte metallic blue finish with aluminum and brass accents on the shield, headlight, rear light surrounds, steering cover grille, and wheel rims.
The attention to detail extends to the dual-upholstered saddle with double contrasting stitching and polished brass rivets, reminiscent of Officina 8’s hand-engineering tradition.
Each Officina 8 scooter comes with a welcome kit in the colors of the Special Edition, housed in a tin container containing the Owner’s Book.
