A proposal called Leno's Law in California aims to exempt classic cars at least 35 years old from smog-check laws.Currently, the law exempts cars from 1975 and older, but this new plan would apply to 1990 and older cars not used for regular transportation.Comedian Jay Leno is supporting the proposal, gathering support from others in the classic car world as well. The bill must go through the Senate Transportation Committee next month and be approved by the full Senate and Assembly before becoming law.
