Port studio Virtuos believes it would be easy to bring an Xbox Series S game to the Nintendo Switch 2, considering their technical similarities.
Virtuos' technical director noted that the GPU capabilities of the Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series S are comparable overall, with the Switch 2 having a slightly lower performance than the Series S but supporting Nvidia's DLSS technology.
In terms of CPU, the Nintendo Switch 2 is closer to the PlayStation 4, according to Virtuos. While most games are more GPU-bound than CPU-bound, differences in CPU power may impact specific games and frame rates.
Cyberpunk 2077, which can hit 60fps on Xbox Series S but not consistently on the PS4, received an official port for the Nintendo Switch 2 with different performance modes.
