Saudi Arabia has temporarily suspended the issuance of new short-term visas for citizens of 14 countries, including India, ahead of Hajj 2025.The suspension is set to commence on April 13, 2025, and will remain in effect until mid-June.The decision was made to prevent unregistered pilgrims from participating in the Hajj pilgrimage and to enhance crowd management and safety.Indian nationals must apply through the Hajj Committee of India and unauthorized pilgrimage may result in fines, imprisonment, and asset seizure.
