Vitalik Buterin unveils a roadmap to make Ethereum more privacy-focused without changing its core infrastructure.
The roadmap targets four main areas: private on-chain payments, hidden user actions within dApps, obscured read-access activity, and anonymized network-level data.
Tools like Railgun would be added to Ethereum wallets to manage shielded balances, while each decentralized app would have a different Ethereum address to prevent activity linking.
Buterin's plan includes technical changes and future upgrades such as TEE-based RPC privacy, private information retrieval, unique RPC nodes for each dApp, and privacy-enhanced keystore wallets.
