<ul data-eligibleForWebStory="true">Vodafone Idea (Vi) increased its capex in FY25 to Rs 95.7 billion to enhance its 4G coverage to 90% in India.Vi is rolling out infill sites to address network capacity issues across the country, according to CEO Akshaya Moondra.The CEO stated that network congestion issues have been completely addressed compared to a year ago.Financial issues prevented Vi from investing in areas with capacity problems, but it was resolved after an equity fundraise.Vi is looking to raise funds via debt to sustain its capex for continued network improvement.The company's 4G capacity is improving as it rolls out 5G, freeing up more network resources.Vi has launched 5G in Bengaluru and plans to expand to all 17 priority circles by August 2025.
