Brooklyn-based design duo Wade and Leta unveiled an interactive installation, Stop, Listen, Look, in Chengdu, China, inspired by the city's fusion of modernity and traditional values.
The exhibition consists of kinetic sculptures powered by wind and motors, moving in fantastic ways through the air, creating a symphony of sight and sound when people interact with them.
The installation features bold stripes, vibrant colors, and whimsical elements that reflect the energetic vibe of Chengdu's streets, with a soundtrack created by renowned sound designer Eric Lau based on the city's everyday tones.
Visitors can alter the auditory ambiance through an embedded MIDI controller, blending movement, reflection, sight, and sound in a tactile and satisfying experience that highlights the duo's belief in the fusion of work and life.
