Walmart is reportedly closing three of its tech hubs in the US, as part of its efforts to streamline its operations. The locations to be shut down are in Austin, Texas; Carlsbad, California; and Portland, Oregon.
Employees in these locations have been asked to relocate to other Walmart offices in places like San Bruno, California or Bentonville, Arkansas, in order to keep their jobs.
The company has expressed hopes that most workers will relocate, and those who choose not to will be given severance pay.
