<ul><li>The new Porsche 911 GT3 set a record at the Nürburgring for the fastest time around the track in a road car with a manual transmission, beating the previous record by almost 10 seconds.</li><li>The record was set by driver Jörg Bergmeister in a 911 GT3 with the Weissach package, setting a time of 6:56.294.</li><li>The upgraded GT3 with the Weissach package features lightweight components, including carbon fiber shift paddles and trim on the steering wheel, reducing the weight.</li><li>The new GT3 with manual transmission was 3.6 seconds quicker around the track than the previous generation GT3 with a PDK gearbox.</li></ul>
