Webus, a Chinese AI-driven mobility company, is planning to build a $300 million XRP reserve to facilitate frictionless chauffeur payments and expand its borderless payments ambitions.
The company is also renewing its partnership with Tongcheng Travel Holdings Ltd., a leading Chinese tourism firm.
Webus aims to use XRP for instant cross-border payments, refunds, and settlements due to its low-fee settlement layer, rapid transaction times, and seamless integration with the Ledger.
Despite the significant investment announcement, XRP's price remained relatively unchanged, indicating a cautious market response, yet signaling a growing institutional interest in XRP's utility for corporate treasuries.
