WhatsApp has officially launched an iPad app that allows users to make video and audio calls with up to 32 people, share screens, and use both front and back cameras.
The new iPad app supports iPadOS multitasking features like Stage Manager, Split View, and Slide Over, enhancing user experience for tasks like browsing the web while sending messages or researching while on a call.
The app is compatible with Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil, providing users with seamless synchronization across iPhone, Mac, and other devices while ensuring end-to-end encryption for messages, calls, and media.
The dedicated WhatsApp iPad app is now available for download on the App Store, following Meta's announcement. Instagram, another Meta app, is also reportedly working on an iPad app.
