Who Gets the Final Say? The Designer, the Client, or the User?

  • Users Know What Works for Them – As designers, we may think we know best, but the ultimate measure of success is whether the user finds value in the design.
  • Expert Opinion vs. User Preference – Expertise is valuable, but it shouldn’t override what the end-user truly wants. Our role is to guide, not dictate.
  • Collaboration Over Assumption – The best results come when designers, clients, and users work together, ensuring that what’s delivered aligns with the needs of the people who will use it.
  • Good design is not about what we, as designers, like, It’s about what solves the user’s problem.
