HBO has chosen Arabella Stanton to play Hermione Granger in the upcoming Harry Potter TV series, alongside Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley.
Arabella Stanton, a 10-year-old newcomer, previously played Matilda Wormwood and will be part of the Harry Potter series on HBO Max.
Stanton was selected out of over 30,000 children who auditioned for the roles originally played by Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint.
The new Harry Potter series by HBO promises a faithful adaptation of the book series by J.K. Rowling, with production starting this summer at Warner Bros Studios Leavesden.
