The e-commerce giant, Amazon, has decided to increase fees and commissions on certain categories of products, including electronics, cosmetics, clothes, beauty products, groceries, and medicines.
The increase in charges is likely to pass on the additional burden to customers, potentially making shopping on Amazon more expensive.
The seller fees for over-the-counter medicines are expected to rise significantly, with fees for products worth Rs 500 or less increasing from 5.5% to 12%, and for products costing more than Rs 500, the seller fee will be 15%.
