Meta Platforms Inc, formerly known as Facebook, has carried out another round of job cuts targeting engineers and adjacent tech teams.
The move is part of the company's efforts to streamline its business and make 2023 a "year of efficiency."
The layoffs were expected but have still caused frustration among Meta employees, with some questioning why they should stay at the company.
Meta's first round of layoffs in the fall of 2022 hit over 11,000 employees, and this latest round will impact a further 10,000 employees over several months.
