Why taking a break from work and really switching off is important for your health

  • The best vacation is the one that fits your preferences and budget – there’s no such thing as a perfect holiday.
  • Reduce the friction and chaos, avoid putting yourself in settings of conflict and tension and engage in restorative mental activities during the break.
  • Research is clear: vacations are essential for our health and wellbeing. Aim for multiple smaller breaks throughout the year, rather than a single longer vacation.
