Windows 11 is about to get a nifty shortcut for copying out all the text from an image

  • A new Windows 11 feature allows users to copy all the text from an image without the need to take a screenshot first.
  • The latest update for the Snipping Tool in Windows 11 eliminates the step of capturing a snip and offers a 'text extractor' option within the capture bar.
  • Windows 11 is expanding its OCR powers, with the Photos app already having Optical Character Recognition to extract text directly from images.
  • The new shortcut (Windows + Shift + S keys) for text extraction within the Snipping Tool is currently available in testing.
