Microsoft has replaced the iconic Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) in Windows 11 with a Black Screen of Death, featuring a minimalistic design with a short error message and an error code.
The new Black Screen of Death is rolling out to users on the Windows 11 Release Preview build, with a broader rollout planned over the next few weeks.
Microsoft aims to improve user readability by introducing this redesigned interface, aligning it better with Windows 11 design principles while keeping necessary technical information visible for troubleshooting.
In addition to the Black Screen of Death, Microsoft is introducing new features like Quick Machine Recovery and Practice Reading in Coach, enhancing system recovery and accessibility options for users.
