Workforce management startup Rippling People Center Inc. raises $450 million in additional funding, reaching a valuation of $16.8 billion.
The Series G round had participants like Y Combinator, Sands Capital, Goldman Sachs Growth, Baillie Gifford, and GIC. Rippling also held a $200 million tender offer for current and former employees.
Rippling's rapid sales growth led to the increase in valuation, with annual recurring revenue exceeding $570 million. The company is prioritizing top-line growth over profitability and doesn't plan to go public soon.
Rippling provides cloud platforms for HR teams to manage payroll, benefits, and recruitment. It also offers IT tools for managing employee access, device management, and expense tracking.
