Wargaming has announced a new free-to-play Unreal Engine multiplayer shooter called Steel Hunters.
It features Transformers-style juggernauts battling for control of an energy source called Starfall on post-apocalyptic maps.
The game combines elements of hero shooter, battle royale and extraction shooter.
The game has a core Starfall Harvest mode that involves six squads of two fighting to claim towers on rolling town-and-country maps.
It also includes fleets of flying drones which can be farmed for upgrade materials.
Besides enemy hunters, players also have to worry about an endgame, in which squads must capture and hold a single extraction point, or eliminate all the other teams.
Wargaming's unique approach to co-op teamwork is called 'duo symbiosis'.
The game will use a season pass format for monetisation, similar to World of Tanks.
Everything in each season will be free - paintjobs, emotes, new hunters, skins - providing you’re willing to grind for it.
