The world's biggest LEGOLAND resort has opened in Shanghai, China, with buildings made of blocks and models constructed from over 85 million LEGO bricks.
The theme park covers 318,000 square meters with eight themed areas, more than 75 rides, and thousands of LEGO models. It features Chinese cultural architecture and showcases LEGO versions of old Chinese water towns and modern Shanghai.
The resort includes six large restaurants, numerous food stands, and retail stores offering LEGO-themed items. The LEGOLAND resort also houses The BIG Shop, considered the largest LEGO store in Asia.
Visitors can experience the brand's toys, sets, clothing, and limited-edition items at the store. The grand opening week took place between July 5th and 13th, 2025, coinciding with the start of the 36th Shanghai Tourism Festival.
