Microsoft is reportedly working on an Xbox-branded handheld device that might beat Sony's PlayStation to the next-gen handheld market.
The device, codenamed Keenan, is expected to release in 2025 and will have Xbox features including the official Xbox Guide button and Xbox-style design.
Project Keenan will serve as a "research experience" for Microsoft to test Windows 11 capabilities.
Sony's decision to prototype a stand-alone handheld device was partly inspired by the success of PS Portal.
